Description:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Law.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in legal, either in-house or external law firm.
  • Prior experience in the Maritime industry is mandatory.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a legal team and providing strategic direction.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, regulatory compliance, and litigation management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company’s legal strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
  • Provide expert legal advice and counsel to senior management on strategic decisions and complex legal issues.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of legal professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the department.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure contracts are in line with the company’s policies and interests.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance principles and ethical standards across the organization.
