Head of Legal & Risk Management

The Head of Legal & Risk Management is responsible for providing comprehensive legal counsel, guidance, and support to the Tara senior management team by developing, implementing, and overseeing the organisation’s legal, risk, and compliance strategy framework.

The Head of Legal & Risk Management is responsible for:

• Develop and implement the legal, risk & compliance strategy framework for the organization, including structures, policies, and processes for identifying, handling, and monitoring risks and issues
• Stay abreast of current and emerging risks and trends that may impact Tara’s operations and take proactive measures to mitigate them to ensure the organization can fulfil its mission
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for legal, risk & compliance management areas to align with the organization’s strategy and objectives
• Ensure the organization conducts its business in full compliance with all applicable national and international laws and regulations governing its work within Asia
• Monitor, manage, and provide advice on all legal and compliance matters within the organization, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation of risks

OPERATIONAL AND LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING:

• Promote a culture of excellence, service orientation, high performance, and continuous improvement
• Mentor and support team members’ understanding and competence of risk & compliance activities and responsibilities
• Demonstrate Tara’s Values in every action
• Actively participates in Leadership Team activities
• Abide by Tara’s policies, procedures and practices
  Line management will allocate other responsibilities and projects as and when required, in consultation with the post holder
