Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You’ll be responsible for leading the Market Access function and providing leadership as a member of the Country Leadership Team (CLT) to maximise the performance of the Singapore business. You will set the vision and define the market access strategy that maximizes patient access to AZ medicines while being accountable for external communications with relevant parties and organisations. You will also lead the commercial strategy, driving critical company projects and business development opportunities, while ensuring organizational efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies and innovative approaches to guide interactions with the government, industry and healthcare partners that will drive optimal access to AstraZeneca products
- Oversee the development and execution of affordability and accessibility patient support programs in accordance with local compliance, legal and regulatory guidelines, as well as the business and brand strategy
- Establish the company objectives, strategies, and plans ;coordinate, monitor and evaluate business activities so that these strategies and objectives are established in alignment with the corporate vision to achieve profitable operations for the company
- Formulate pricing and contract strategy required to optimize AstraZeneca’s product positioning and develop relevant pricing and contracting activities
- Liaise and communicate with government and private-managed care organisations to ensure relevant parties understand the positioning of AstraZeneca’s products
- Maintain accurate assessments of competitors’ products
- Identify growth and potential business opportunities in existing lines of the business and formulate plans for implementation
- Hire, develop and retain top talents by ensuring discipline in talent reviews and succession planning and in championing people development activities
- Represent the company at public occasions and in interactions with external parties and present a positive image of the company
- Ensure a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance is embedded in all business practices alongside full accountability for effective oversight and transparent upward reporting of compliance status in partnership with Global Compliance
ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Marketing, Science, Economics or Finance)
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with significant market access experience in in-market role.
- In-depth understanding of Singapore’s health environment: coverage and subsidy decision-making processes, pricing and contracting strategies, formulary management, health technology assessment processes, and payment policies
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead a team, including interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and succeed in a highly matrixed environment
- Excellent communication skills, strong oral/written presentation skills.
- Display solid ethics and ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced environment
