The Head of Marketing is an integral role in the UK and EMEA team, ensuring the successful delivery of marketing campaigns, driving demand through both B2C and B2B channels. The Head of Marketing will enjoy an entrepreneurial environment, be willing to lead strategy and will be able to quickly adapt and pivot to trading demands. They will be a brand advocate, passionately and responsibly driving awareness across consumers and trade partners within the region, to exceed delivery targets.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years experience in marketing, including campaign management, product marketing, digital marketing, or branding, preferably from within travel industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, such as managing a marketing team or leading marketing projects
  • Experience from and understanding of dynamics of working in a global organization and collaborating with cross-functional teams across different regions.
  • Proficiency in traditional and digital marketing techniques to effectively work with agency partners and in-house teams, optimizing marketing and campaign plans.
  • Proven strong analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, make data driven decisions and to provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Effective project management skills, including planning, organization, and execution, are important for managing marketing campaigns, coordinating cross-functional teams, and meeting deadlines. Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, etc is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with global teams, stakeholders, and local market partners.
  • Global mindset and an understanding of cultural nuances across different markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement market-specific B2C/B2B marketing strategies aligned with the global marketing objectives, considering the local market dynamics, competition, and customer preferences.
  • Build comprehensive marketing campaigns tailored to the local market, including digital marketing, advertising, CRM, events, PR, and other promotional activities.
  • Support the VP Sales & Marketing (UK & EMEA) to ensure timely updates on campaign plans, budget allocation, strategy, and the effectiveness of marketing activity.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of campaigns, using global marketing toolkits and ensuring they are aligned to global brand guidelines and global marketing calendar.
  • Contribute to global marketing strategy and global campaign calendar and take active part in the build of global marketing toolkits.
  • Manage the marketing budget for the assigned market, ensuring proper and fully transparent forecasting, allocation and optimization of resources to drive maximum ROI and achieve marketing goals.
  • Safeguard and enhance the brand image and positioning in the local market, ensuring consistent messaging and brand guidelines are followed across all marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, regional marketing teams, agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders to align marketing strategies, share best practices, and ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Track and analyse marketing campaign performance and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts, providing regular reports and insights to global marketing teams and local VP, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Manage and lead the marketing team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive individual and team performance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging marketing technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and competitiveness in the local market.
