We are recruiting a Head of Offender Management Services for HMP Ashfield, an adult male sex offender prison based in the village of Pucklechurch in South Gloucestershire.
Offender Management is an integrated approach to the assessment, sentence planning and delivery of the sentence requirements for offenders. It applies to offenders serving sentences in the community and in custody and provides a “joined up” approach between the Prison and Probation Services.
You’ll be responsible for managing several work areas within the Offender Management Function and endeavours to ensure that each prisoner is given the support and guidance to engage in a purposeful structured journey through their sentence identifying and addressing their specific risks and needs.
As part of the Senior Management Team, you will report directly into the Deputy Director whilst carrying out the following responsibilities, activities and duties
Ensure all managers and staff within the Function provide a respectful, safe decent environment for all prisoners and staff Accountable for the performance of the Function and the staff within it. Manage the achievement of Contract Delivery Indicators (CDI’s) within the Function verifying and signing off documentation as appropriate. Accountable for the administration of all offender management systems and processes - this Includes:
OMiC Public Protection Manual Violent Sex Offender Register (VISOR) OASyS Indeterminate Sentenced Prisoners Foreign National Offenders Parole Recall Prisoners Offender management administration hub Chair Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL) boards in conjunction with the Head of OM Delivery Categorisation Key worker allocation process
What you’ll need to do the job
You must have worked in an Offender Management position within a custodial setting or similar challenging environment and have previous HUB manager experience within an OMU.
You will need the required skills and experience to ensure you can hit the ground running upon joining us! Successful management and leadership within a diverse challenging environment is a must and you will have exceptional organisational skills and abilities to manage your workloads and lead and supervise others to do the same.
