Summary
We are looking for a “Head of OMNI ISTAR (f/m/d)” for the “Airborne & Space Optronics” division at the Oberkochen or Taufkirchen site as soon as possible.
Within the “Airborne & Space Optronics” business unit, the OMNI ISTAR department is responsible for program management (including profit and loss responsibility) for airborne electro-optical reconnaissance and surveillance systems.

Your Tasks

  • Responsible management of the OMNI ISTAR program department including profit and loss responsibility
  • Ensuring that business results (incoming orders, sales, profit, cash) are in line with operational planning
  • Ensuring that projects and orders in the OMNI ISTAR business area are implemented on time and in compliance with cost and quality requirements
  • Ensuring the implementation of and compliance with all contracts with internal and external service providers, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Developing and ensuring the implementation of the strategy and business plan for the OMNI ISTAR product family in line with the strategy of the Airborne & Space Optronics business unit
  • Ensuring the (further) development of HENSOLDT’s OMNI ISTAR products
  • Market observations and competitive analyses with the aim of developing future markets
  • Ensuring product management over the entire product life cycle for the OMNI ISTAR product family
  • Determination of personnel planning for the OMNI ISTAR program department
  • Developing and ensuring R & D planning and the investment budget for the area of responsibility in coordination with the line manager

Your Profile

  • Completed technical studies (Master’s/Diploma) or comparable
  • Extensive experience in the markets for defense and security technology products and systems with corresponding national and international customer and business contacts
  • Several years of professional experience in international program / project management or engineering in electro-optics
  • Many years of experience with electro-optical systems and devices for the aerospace industry
  • Experience in disciplinary management
  • Convincing appearance, communication and argumentation skills
  • Leadership personality with strong team skills and intercultural competence
  • Business fluent in German and English
