POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Head of Operations appointment will be accountable for achieving national annual business unit growth by prioritising customer service and operational efficiency. This entails maintaining high service standards while ensuring profitable operational outcomes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate entrepreneurial acumen in driving business development within agreed-upon working processes and procedures.

Key Features & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver annual budget targets
  • Select, induct, and develop highly customer-focused Service and Parts management teams
  • Provide excellent customer service standards to all UK customers
  • Demonstrate clear understanding and leadership of the rapid changes required to grow the business model
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and business ethics requirements
  • Ensure total alignment with nationally agreed policies and procedures
  • Assist in leading national business efficiencies and development through personal engagement and motivation of Service and Parts management teams
  • Collaborate with specific Head Office departments to ensure adherence to procedures
  • Act as the National Operations representative for Dawsongroup Sweepers Limited
  • Lead by example to ensure all staff cooperate to the highest levels with other business units in the best interests of all customers and colleagues

COMPETENCES, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Industry Experience Advantage: Background in automotive, industrial equipment, or distribution sectors, well-suited for the flexible rental market dynamics.
  • Results Oriented, demonstrated success in consistently achieving agreed quarterly targets.
  • Exceptional Customer Service experience in enhancing and delivering service to the highest standards.
  • Sound Financial Business Understanding, possessing a strong grasp of financial principles relevant to business operations.
  • Customer-Facing Excellence with an established track record of excelling in customer-facing roles.
  • Effective Team Management style demonstrating ability to lead small multi-functional teams to success.
  • Capable of performing effectively in high-pressure environments and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proactive leader who leads by example and inspires teams to achieve goals.
  • Self-Starter who initiates actions independently and uses analytical abilities to drive improvement initiatives.
