Co-op Live will offer a food and beverage hospitality service that will put us head and shoulders above the crowd, as we welcome over 23,500 fans and amazing artists to taste the delicious food and drinks unique to the space in Manchester.
With 32 amazing bars and restaurants and 12 premium lounges and clubs – we’re going to be delivering an exceptional hospitality service for the people of Manchester and beyond. Role Purpose:
The Head of People Operations will oversee people operations, responsible for strategy aligned with the business goals for multiple stakeholders and collaborating with senior leadership to create a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The role involves serving as the primary point of contact for various stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships to ensure smooth operations and successful event execution. The individual will oversee all aspects of people operations related to the venue, ensuring efficient and effective staffing and operational support, and oversee operating procedures for event staffing.
This is a Permanent role requiring flexibility on evenings and weekends.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a leadership role within a venue, arena, or stadium environment.
  • Proven experience in managing operations and people in a large-scale, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of HR policy and practice, especially for a large variable workforce.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Management of people budgets and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in multiple workforce management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
