Join our Project Management Office (PMO) team at BEUMER Group, renowned for its commitment to excellence in project management. Our team comprises four Regional responsible reporting to the PMO Divisional Director. We seek an experienced team member who will take over the regional responsibility to lead project management governance across Europe.
Job Description
As the Head of PMO (m/f/d) for Europe, you will spearhead the governance, process implementation, and people development for project management within the region. You will collaborate with other Regional PMOs and Project Management Leads (PMLeads) in Group Companies to ensure that project execution adheres to the highest standards. Key focus areas of the Project Management Office are formed around people, methods, and operations. You will report to the PMO Divisional Director.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • You lead the implementation of project management governance policies and processes across the region
  • You contribute to the global Project Management processes by sharing best practices and lessons learned from the European region
  • You establish and maintain continuous communication with PM Leads in the region
  • You drive project management teams’ development and professional growth via mentoring, training, and skill development initiatives
  • You support PMs in obtaining PMP certification
  • You assist PMs during project initiation and planning for key regional projects
  • You review monthly project reports and report on project progress to executive management
  • You analyze project performance and develop strategies for improvement
  • You support Project Managers on demand topics like risk management, requirements management
  • You maintain continuous dialogue with regional sales teams to ensure excellence in transfer from sales to handover
  • You ensure that lessons learned in projects are captured, shared among the team, and communicated globally
  • You conduct project audits and ensure the full implementation of corrective measures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • You have proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Director, at least 15 years experience in project management or related roles
  • You are experienced in working with international teams
  • Preferably you are experienced with a focus on governance, process improvement, and people development
  • You have in-depth knowledge of project management principles, frameworks, and best practices
  • Preferable you have a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or are willing to obtain one
  • You are characterized by strong leadership and stakeholder managament skills
  • You have great organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and are capable of directing and mentoring a geographically dispersed team
  • Your english is business fluent
  • You are willing to travel internationally on business ( ca. 25 %)
