We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Project Management Office (PMO). This role will be responsible for facilitating and driving the transformation of divisional strategy and business requirements into development projects and roadmaps as well as leading selected key transformative business IT projects.

About the position
The successful candidate will be creating development roadmaps for key Business IT solution areas, managing the SSAB Europe IT project portfolio, and ensuring that projects deliver targeted business targets. Additionally, the Head of PMO will play a crucial role in aligning IT roadmaps with architecture plans and investment projects, as well as ensuring the efficient and effective utilization of Business IT Solutions in alignment with both business requirements and common architecture principles within SSAB Europe and the Group.
Main responsibilities
Facilitate and assist the business and IT organization in transforming division strategy and business requirements into development projects and roadmaps.
Create IT roadmaps for main Business IT solution areas, including CAPEX plans.
Manage the SSAB Europe IT project portfolio and ensure that projects deliver targeted business benefits.
Align IT roadmaps with architecture plans and investment projects.
Ensure that development projects bring value to business and are efficiently used and aligned with business requirements and common architecture principles.
Manage selected key transformative business IT projects as a senior project manager.
Ensure that projects are executed within scope, schedule, and budget as agreed within governance.
Manage project teams with both internal and external resources as needed, as well as change management with key stakeholders.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
Over 5 years’ experience in project management, particularly within IT and business transformation projects.
Good leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams.
Good communication skills both verbal and written. Fluent in English; Finnish and Swedish languages are seen as an advantage.
Solid understanding of architecture principles and investment project management.
Experience in managing strategic projects and driving business value through IT solutions.
Experience in leading business IT projects by using both waterfall and agile project methodologies
Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies is seen as an advantage.
