Description:

We are looking for the Head of Portfolio Strategies in Düsseldorf!

Responsibilities:

  • Translate Uniper core market beliefs and corporate strategy into concrete ideas for portfolio developments; partner across the organization with competent functions (e.g. main interface with CCO) to conduct strategic analysis that can be articulated into the “so what” for growth planning
  • Develop market and hub-specific asset portfolio strategies and concrete hunting schemes for strategic programs considering market, competitor, and regulatory aspects (to establish and assess new types of business cases and derive Uniper ambition levels MW, CAPEX, timing)
  • Identify overall portfolio constraints, risks and threats propose portfolio play opportunities and investment optionality, consequentially work with the growth business lines to translate these into the plan (e.g. new hunting schemes, new strategies, constraints, capabilities)
  • Take the lead in defining cross-pillar strategies as an enabler for growth projects (e.g. battery strategy as support for RES and GPG, strategic prioritization of projects at Energy Hub sites) and support business development in growth business lines
  • Partner up within Uniper to provide competence for commercial valuation of assets as input and quality assurance to support development of business cases (operations and growth)
  • Develop a center of excellence for tender and auction management (auction framework analysis, competitor analysis, alignment of bidding strategy between CCO and growth functions in context of portfolio impact)
  • Provide expert energy economic assessment and guidance to operational business and growth projects
