Description:

As the Head of Procurement (a) at our company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and services required for our cutting-edge projects. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-quality components, materials and services that meet our technical and quality standards while optimising costs and delivery timelines. Your expertise in procurement and supply chain management will contribute to the success of our innovative engineering solutions that shape the future of architecture and construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate and qualify suppliers capable of providing specialised lightweight structural components, facade materials and related services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sourcing strategies that align with project requirements and company goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers as well as negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the company while maintaining quality standards
  • Monitor and manage contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimise costs while maintaining the quality and technical specifications of materials and components
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising project deliverables
  • Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, including disruptions in material availability, geopolitical factors and changes in regulations
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design and project management teams to understand project requirements and align procurement activities accordingly
  • Analyse purchasing and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
  • Generate and communicate regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance and cost savings achieved as well as present findings to management and contribute to strategic decision-making
