Our QI work at CNWL is already well established and we are seeking an experienced QI professional with a track record of improvement work to lead our QI operational activities. This is a crucial role for the department requiring delivery of a high quality and comprehensive service. You will need to have proven leadership and management skills, trained in QI methodologies, have the ability to inspire and be prepared to work across a broad spectrum of specialties and with a wide variety of staff.

You must have initiative and drive, be forward thinking and have the ability to influence a wide range of health professionals. We offer a supportive and friendly environment and we have a genuine and active commitment to personal and career development.
We are supportive of Flexible Working and appreciate the importance of ensuring that your successful career is complemented by a work/home life balance.

  • Developed a comprehensive accredited QI training programme
  • Embedded continuous improvement into its DNA

  • Strengthened its improvement leadership

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.
The Head of the Quality Improvement Team (HoQIT) provides leadership of the QI Team, and management and direction for the QI programme. The postholder will work with the Director of Improvement and the Trust QI Clinical Lead to continue to develop the QI programme and is responsible for overseeing implementation of the QI operations.
The HoQIT will oversee divisional and trustwide wide QI initiatives. This role will require a blend of science of improvement knowledge, project management skills and excellent stakeholder engagement skills to ensure the programme is considerate and additive to existing work taking place.
This postholder will have managerial responsibility for the entire QI Team and have three Improvement Advisors (IAs) as direct line reports.
In addition to leading and advising on large improvement programmes the HoQIT is a key member of the Improvement Academy faculty. As a trained Improvement Advisor the HoQIT will also contribute to developing and delivering training programmes as well as our wider learning system
