Role Overview
As the Head of Relationship Management, Luxembourg you will be responsible for leading a team of Relationship Managers and overseeing the delivery of BBH’s Relationship Excellence strategy to a range of leading Global Asset gatherers with European domiciled Funds.
To be successful in your application you will need to demonstrate extensive functional expertise, leadership, initiative, creativity, and the ability to instill enthusiasm and commitment within the organisation, as well as ability to develop strong commercial relationships with existing and prospective clients.
You will ensure delivery of new revenue objectives from new and existing clients and continue to build a healthy new business pipeline for 2024 and beyond. You will also be responsible for the teams delivery of the 2024 Optimise, Elevate and Transform goal framework, in close collaboration with the European and Global Relationship Management leadership team.
You will ensure our relationships are 100% referenceable, the result of impeccable service and trustworthy advice.
In addition, you will ensure that our Relationship Managers are our first filter of bi-directional trust with our clients & prospects to ensure we are well positioned to manage risk in our business as well as develop long term and mutually beneficial partnerships.
You will ensure that the services we deliver improve our clients’ competitive and operational strategies, and that our clients recognise the value of our superior service.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain a culture of superior service in line with BBH’s global strategy
  • Build and maintain strong client and internal relationships
  • Form strategic partnerships by providing resources and expertise to maximize business success
  • Ensure team alignment with key tenets of the Global Client Management pillar within Investor Services, which will be measured by the RE status of key relationships as well as key client and segment profitability metrics

Business Development

  • Ensure the team builds a pipeline of qualified new business opportunities, based on strong commercial insights on trends in the industry, regulatory changes and client investment strategy.
  • Identify and build strong relationships with all key decision makers in the client organisation (including at C-Level).
  • Focus decision-makers on BBH product and service by providing strong commercial insights on problems or opportunities for their business, for which BBH can provide solutions.
  • Support sales campaigns in support of InServ growth objectives
  • Ensure the maintenance of appropriate CRM records, including strategic client plans, of all new business development activity in BBH Force

Risk and Control:

  • Reinforce the culture of risk management within the RM team which manifests itself in the level of bi-directional trust with our clients as well as collaboration with our risk & compliance functions.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance to all procedures whether internal or agreed external policies
  • Monitor operational issues and follow through on effective problem resolution with management of supporting departments

Leadership / Staff Management:

  • Participate in the career development of staff and act as a positive role model and mentor
  • Build an effective, high performing team through the deployment of development, performance management and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Clearly communicate objectives, standards, responsibilities, and milestones
  • while holding individuals and teams accountable for achieving results
  • Implement strategy through communicating a strategic vision that leverages and builds the firm’s strengths to deliver a competitive advantage

Product Development:

  • Participate in product development initiatives including interpreting client needs and supporting the development of innovative and implementation of client solutions
  • Ensuring team alignment with the key tenets of the Product Management and Profitability pillar within Investor Services, which will be measured in terms of direct contribution to the bottom line by individual clients.

Luxembourg Office Governance

  • Represent the Relationship Management team in various Luxembourg Office Governance Committee’s and forums
  • Become a member or permanently invited guest of such committees, including Luxembourg Executive Committee among others.
  • As a leader of the Luxembourg bank, contribute to the effective management of the bank.
