Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the development and implementation of research strategies aligned with the Institute’s goals, focusing on all disciplines of the school.
- Identify and foster interdisciplinary research opportunities across different faculties.
- Supervise and coordinate research initiatives at various faculties, ensuring alignment with the Institute’s vision.
- Manage research projects, including international collaborations such as Erasmus+, to enhance the Institute’s global research presence.
- Oversee and guide doctoral students’ research activities, providing mentorship and ensuring alignment with academic standards.
- Collaborate with faculty members to support and enhance the research capabilities of doctoral candidates.
- Lead the management and coordination of the Postdoctoral Center, fostering an environment conducive to advanced research and innovation.
- Facilitate collaboration between faculty members and international agents.
- Manage all academic journals and special research proceedings affiliated with the Institute, ensuring quality and adherence to academic standards.
- Collaborate with editorial boards and contributors to enhance the scholarly impact of publications.
- Collaborate with faculty members to identify and develop research projects, securing funding from external sources and promoting a culture of research excellence.
- Foster collaborations with external partners, industry stakeholders, and research institutions to enhance the Institute’s research ecosystem.
- Represent the Institute in national and international research forums.
- Provide regular reports and updates on the progress and impact of research initiatives.
- Cultivate a collaborative and innovative research culture within the Institute.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in research and academia.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies for optimising research processes and outcomes.
- Actively participate in promotional activities to enhance the visibility and reputation of the Institute’s research endeavours.
- Collaborate closely with the Provost, Vice-Provosts, and Deans of different faculties for seamless integration of research activities within the overall academic framework.
- This role plays a pivotal part in advancing the Institute’s research agenda and contributing to its standing as a center of excellence in academia and innovation.
- Teaching 200 hours per academic year of assigned academic modules according to the curriculum and the needs of the school.
