Job description
We are in search of a new Head of Retail to join us at RNIB.
In this role you will be responsible for steering the evolution of RNIB’s Retail function towards a customer-centric paradigm. You will be expected to be at the forefront of our commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations through exemplary service and innovative merchandising.
Your contributions will directly impact the expansion and diversification of RNIB Enterprises, influencing the organisation’s ability to reach a broader audience and enhance its services. By spearheading innovative initiatives and forming strategic alliances, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to create a more inclusive and accessible world for those with visual impairments. As part of the Enterprises leadership team you will deliver transformation across the Directorate to drive impact and income to the RNIB.
This is a permanent, full time role. You will be working hybrid from home and in our London head office (King’s Cross), and travelling to various sites across the UK.

Responsibilities:

As Head of Retail, you will oversee the comprehensive transformation of our retail services. Your influence extends across merchandising, supply chain management, distribution, customer service and customer engagement, ensuring that RNIB stands out as a beacon of excellence in every aspect.
You will be leading, inspiring and managing a team of around 10 full time direct reports. You will develop and lead on a robust 5 year plan, aligned with objectives and identifying new opportunities along the way. You will also manage the re-platforming of our eCom shop and overseeing the control and ownership of our shop infrastructure, content and plug-ins.
You will be creating annual budgets and overseeing the delivery of budget plans across the organisation, reviewing target budget and performance to ensure business and customer needs are met. You will also be communicating any challenges, risks and opportunities to teams across the organisation.
