Responsibilities:

  • Typical qualifications and experience (on entry) ‐ 8+ years’ relevant professional and/or management experience, and industry/tertiary qualifications (or comparable “on the job” experience)
  • A deep understanding and appreciation of various retirement products and approaches.
  • Experience and Insights into how customers view and engage retirement products.
  • Understanding of the changing approaches to retirement solutions.
  • Experience with building client and internal relationships over long periods.
  • Leader of superannuation / retirement teams.
  • Record of growing and attracting talent.
  • Record of developing teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with both internal and external audiences
  • Curious and innovative mindset.
  • Deep knowledge of the retirement market, products, and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical understanding of retirement risks including longevity and sequencing risk and different product solutions to address – Guarantees, annuities, investments.
  • Ability to lead and influence key internal teams and stakeholder groups including product, investments, advise community, legal, technology etc.
  • Demonstrated track record in delivering and commercialising innovative products.
  • Understanding of advice markets and the differentiated needs of advised vs non-advised segments.
  • Having a whole of wealth approach - understanding the whole of wealth value chain and how products and services are integrated to the best effect
