Description:

At Paradigm, building new affordable homes to help more people who cannot otherwise buy or rent on the open market is a key part of our vision. The Development Directorate has a programme of between 400 and 500 homes a year with S106, land-led, package deals and joint venture projects, and a balance of rental and sales tenures. We are looking for a Head of Sales & Aftercare who will be instrumental in helping us achieve this delivery and our wider vision.
It’s an exciting time to join us, on the back of a busy 2024/2025 where the Directorate managed the completion of over 520 homes, all of which now move into the Aftercare team’s oversight. The year also saw us successfully sell off over 220 shared ownership and private homes, as well as completing staircasing transactions, bringing in over £38m for the Business.
The new postholder will build on this success, leading and motivating the Sales and Aftercare teams to continue to successfully manage future engagements and transactions. Reporting directly to the Executive Director for Development & Sales, and playing a key part in the Development Leadership Team, this role will manage a team of six in Sales, and a further 5 FTEs in Aftercare / support roles. You would also work closely alongside colleagues throughout the Development Directorate and the wider Paradigm business.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who can be the focal point for enhancing Development’s customer engagement, be that ensuring that we maximise our sales strategies and income when selling new homes or managing staircasing events, through to supporting customers settling into their new homes by successfully managing defects that may arise.
You will inspire, develop and motivate the Sales and Aftercare teams, maintaining and enhancing their existing high levels of engagement and achievements. You will also need to work closely and collaboratively with a range of contractors and consultants (e.g. Estate Agents, Solicitors, Employer Agents etc.), so you need to have a great record of delivering sales and aftercare in the housing sector, ideally within social housing.
Working via a mixture of office, remote and homeworking, you will have excellent and effective communication skills, being able to positively influence all levels of the Business and a diverse range of external contacts.
