In addition to its constellation, Spire’s data infrastructure includes a global ground station network and 24/7 operations that provide real-time global coverage of every point on Earth.
Critical to the success of Spire in the EMEA, the Sales Director is a player/coach who will lead a team of senior and junior sales staff by example while contributing to pipeline growth and quota attainment. The successful candidate will have proven experience scaling revenue by driving a predictable and repeatable sales process.
- Responsible for managing Spire’s direct commercial sales team in EMEA
- Plan, develop, organize and direct the Company’s EMEA’s sales activities to ensure new business and client retention targets are met
- Establish Go To Market plans for EMEA in collaboration with the Global Maritime Sales Director and execute against those plans
- Track and analyze metrics to understand and report progress of sales activities and revenue growth. Provide regular sales forecasts for the EMEA region.
- Drive new business sales and renewals/account management, growing pipeline and closing strategic deals while coaching the team to identify, qualify and close new business opportunities
- Act as a key influencer at the C+ level to support the sales team and help close and deliver sales quotas
- Develop and maintain good relationships with existing and new customers
- Work with Marketing, Lead Generation/SDRs and Product functions to increase awareness, grow the customer base and drive relevant product enhancements to meet market demand
- Collaborate with the Sales Engineering team to identify and resolve client concerns;
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the complete line of products/services and customers business issues and needs as well as Market and Competitive trends.
- Approximately 20% travel may be require

Spire’s Maritime team is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Sales Director to lead its direct commercial sales team (i.e. non-government) in EMEA. Reporting to the Global Maritime Sales Director, this is a unique opportunity to shape the future of the global maritime ecosystem.
