ImpactLab is a pioneer and a leader in New Zealand’s social sector evaluation. We work alongside a broad range of customers including charities, non-profits, social enterprise, government, iwi and business to estimate their social impact. We provide a range of comparable metrics to communicate that impact, deliver data and research driven insights to support future decision making and strong programme design.
Since 2019 ImpactLab has been supporting New Zealand social sector to ‘Do Good, Better’. Through data and research driven analysis into social interventions we work with customers to help build their data literacy and data infrastructure. We help develop the knowledge and evidence to support better decision making and help them communicate impact to external stakeholders to ensure their sustainability and growth.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Passion for working in the charitable sector and humility in customer interactions.
  • Strategic Sales Leadership: An ability to collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with organisational goals and market trends. Take ownership of revenue generation targets and drive initiatives to achieve and exceed them.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Provide leadership, coaching and content training (e.g., on business development and sales approaches), and mentorship to the sales team, including Engagement Managers and Executives. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within ImpactLab
  • Board Level Reporting: Present regular reports to the board on sales performance, revenue projections, and strategic initiatives. Utilise data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive actionable recommendations.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of strong, long-lasting relationships with customers. Ensure timely and professional communication, accurate record-keeping, and proactive engagement to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the COO, CEO, Project Manager, and other teams to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and facilitate seamless transitions between sales and delivery.
  • Customer Experience (CX) Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience, including the development of clear CX improvement concepts and the implementation of best practices across all touchpoints.
  • Direct Sales Delivery and Customer Engagement: Demonstrate a hands-on approach by actively engaging in direct sales activities, including prospecting, pitching, and closing deals with key customers. Lead by example in building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating the value proposition of ImpactLab services.
  • Sales Operations Leadership: Oversee the management and upkeep of sales tracking tools, compile reports, and provide sales data and projections to the wider team. Oversee the drafting of proposals and contracts, as well as the management of customer accounts and CRM (HubSpot) data.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the company’s long-term strategy, product offering, and value proposition. Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis, customer feedback, and industry trends.
  • Senior Leadership: Serve as a senior figure within the organisation, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members beyond the sales team. Lead by example, embodying the company’s values, fostering a culture of collaboration, and promoting professional development and growth across the entire team.
