A leading Platform Provider in the UK is seeking a Head of Software Development to work in a hybrid model in their state-of-the-art offices in London. The Platform Provider provides Cloud and IoT platforms to large enterprise sites across the UK.
With an established list of clients providing Cloud Solutions, this is an exciting advancement in their services. And as the Head of Software Development this is a great chance to take full ownership of the technical team, the products, and strategy moving forward for the business. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The business will support you to work how is best for you. You are invited to work in a hybrid and flexible manner and will be supported with any technology or systems you need to lead the Software Development team. The business does ask that you have:

• Must have a Software Degree of 2:1 or higher.
• Need to be working SaaS experience.
• Come from a development background
• Have a high-level understanding of Front and backend.
• Have a high-level understanding of Product Development.
• Must be able to interphase with both sales and technical staff.
• Previous large-scale Project experience is beneficial.

ABOUT THE HEAD OF SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ROLE

As the Head of Software Development, you will collaborate on the short and long-term strategies of the Platform Providers Delivery team, act as a technical leader to junior staff, and be a key part of providing support with go-to-market Software as a Service.

You will oversee a team of up to 25 Developers all at different technical levels and be a key influence on growing the team by 10 within the first year, long term they want the team to be up to 80 developers.

• Support the CTO.
• Develop and lead the Development teams through large-scale projects.
• Develop, mentor, appraise, reward, and discipline the team accordingly.
• Liaise with Partners, Vendors, and Customers, to ensure the highest standard is met at all times.
• Monitor KPIs and take action to achieve commercial targets, quality standards, and customer goals.
• Act as a technical lead for junior staff.
