WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Experience in leading consulting teams (10+ people) in the enterprise customer segment
  • Evidence of defining, embedding and improving operating models and best practices for consulting teams
  • A track record of developing consultants with a strategic mindset and obsession with providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Experience shaping propositions for customers. Understanding market trends and customer needs, defining how we package products and services, and how the team position these with customers.
  • Experience in either the Employee Benefits and Rewards space or working in B2B SaaS
  • A continuous improvement mindset. Someone who will challenge the status quo; looks for ways to improve themselves and the team/department.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable communicating across all business functions and levels of seniority.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting into our VP of Customer Success, you will be responsible for managing our talented team of Strategic Consultants. Our Strategic Consulting team work closely with customers post-sales to shape how they get the most value out of our products and services. They ensure our solution is aligned with their business goals and designed to offer an exceptional employee experience to their workforce.
As Head of Strategic Consulting you will be responsible for the strategy, leadership and management of the function being targeted on revenue growth (upsell), NPS and customer engagement. This customer portfolio represents a significant part of our overall revenue, focused on our UK enterprise and mid market customers.
This is a newly formed team so you will play a critical role in defining best practices, our standard operating model, how we shape our propositions for customers and nurturing our talented team.

RESPONSIBILITIES/

  • To perform strategic planning for the Strategic Consultancy function including segmentation, model and capacity planning.
  • To ensure the team meet the key target areas of: Growth, NPS and Customer Engagement.
  • To drive best practice across the team, ensuring the team have the necessary tools, documentation and training needed for their roles.
  • Provide line management support to all members within their delivery function, including 1-to-1s, performance management, support and advice, mentoring.
  • Track and report to senior management on the effectiveness of their team, tracking success against individual and team OKRs.
  • Produce a high-functioning team with a quality driven mindset, working closely with L&D to plug knowledge gaps.
  • Manage and resolve escalations within their team.
  • Conduct interviews.
  • Involved in making pay review recommendations.
