KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

• Tertiary qualifications in business/commerce, finance/accounting, engineering, IT or a related discipline
• Financial Services or Insurance background (beneficial)
• Experience in C- level interactions
• Sustained record of effectively leading and managing multiple concurrent vendor relationships
• Demonstrable record of strategic and mutually beneficial arrangements in the interests of the organisation and its customers and partners
• Good track record in tracking and monitoring service arrangements with vendors and suppliers.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building
• Ability to leading change, complex teams, budgets and projects
• Strong experience of practical and pragmatic governance and risk management

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Head of Strategic Supplier Management reports to the Chief Risk Officer.
This is newly created role will support the organisation transform its procurement capabilities towards strategic supplier management, providing a greater focus over holistic third-party risk management to build resilience through partnerships and security capability, and maximise value within Avant’s supply chain across the whole group.
This role would suit a talented, pragmatic leader who is ready to take the next step in their career. Hybrid working from our Sydney CBD offices.

KEY FOCUS OF THE ROLE:

• Lead the transition from current decentralised function to a Group procurement model.
• Evolve and uplift the current function to a strategic supplier management process in accordance with slated roadmap.
• Uplift the organisation with respect to CPS 230 and CPS 231 compliance.
• Oversight and thought leadership of Avant’s real estate portfolio and facilities functional area.
• Provide people leadership and professional development to the Procurement Manager and Facilities team.
