Description:

THIS POST IS ONLY OPEN TO APPLICANTS WORKING WITHIN DORSET ICS

Do you want to lead a team responsible for delivering data and analytical services across the Dorset ICS? Do you like using analytics to change the way services can use their data to improve outcomes for people, having a positive impact and a lasting legacy? Would you like to help shape the future of the Health and Social Care System across Dorset?
We are looking a Head of System Analytics to work within the DiiS team, leading the delivery of changes to data and analysis to all organisations within Dorset’s ICS, and beyond. The role will require leadership of the DiiS team alongside the other two Heads of Service to maintain and continue to enhance the high standard of skills and services offered by DiiS. It will be essential to work alongside our Trust, Local Authority & Public Health colleagues as well as the voluntary sector and primary care to embed an analytical culture and build on new opportunities to benefit all partners, and ultimately our populations.
Working within the DiiS you will be instrumental in the design and delivery of Dorset’s approach to population health analytics. You will be working collaboratively with system stakeholders ensuring that analytical programme plans are developed, maintained, and delivered and remain delivering to a high standard.
The postholder will be a dynamic and enthusiastic Data and Analytics leader understanding the demands of leading a business intelligence and population health management analytical service. You must be capable of designing and delivering innovative approaches to further both the team and service you lead to maintain and develop the DiiS offering to services across the county.
This role represents an excellent opportunity for development with a huge scope to really make a difference to the way we deliver services in Dorset and to hugely impact outcomes for patients. The work of the team is broad and varied, and in an ever-changing health and social care landscape a pragmatic and flexible attitude is essential. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a confident, flexible, pro-active and responsive approach combined with the resilience to deal with shifting priorities and demands.
Working within the Dorset Intelligence & Insight Service (DiiS) and Dorset County Hospital (DCH) you will be instrumental in the design and delivery of Dorset’s approach to population analytics. You will be working collaboratively with system stakeholders ensuring that analytical programme plans are developed, maintained, and delivered.
At Dorset County Hospital (DCH) we aspire to providing outstanding care for people in ways which matter to them. Our trust strategy is focussed on three strategic goals: People, Place, and Partnership. It signals our intention to truly value our staff. Our people are our most important asset, and we want them to feel valued, welcomed, respected, they belong and matter. We recognise the link between high levels of staff satisfaction and improving patient experience and outcomes.
We are a Trust that celebrates diversity, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. Dorset County Hospital has a number of employees from overseas delivering high quality services and we recognise the value of diversity in leadership. We would welcome applications from people in groups which are under-represented at Board level.
The postholder will lead and implement the strategic vision of the DiiS , ensuring key stakeholder relationships are in place across the ICS. Specifically the role will be key in ensuring data and analytical capabilities are in place to support the Integrated Neighbourhood Teams leading on the implementation of analytics for improvements to care pathways across the ICS.
