Description:

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Previous experience in a Head of Systems/IT role is essential.
  • Experience/knowledge of opening new store locations
  • Keen awareness of Systems/IT trends and emerging technologies.
  • Strong experience of leadership, managing teams through periods of change and growth.
  • Project management experience in implementing new software solutions
  • Knowledge of PLM (ideally Centric) POS and ERP (Ideally Netsuite).
  • Experience of administering Microsoft Entra (AD), Teams, SharePoint, Exchange and Office365 applications
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, hosting centres, etc.
  • Knowledge of security control and CCTV systems.
  • Knowledge of EDI protocol and processes for US wholesale business.
  • Experience of technical support and computer operations.
  • Knowledge of network, Microsoft Active directory, IP Phone systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to be pro-active, use initiative and work independently
  • Ability to influence internal stakeholders and challenge approaches if needed
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and ensure delivery of results within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Head of Systems & IT has overall responsibility for the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, software and on property infrastructure that is used within the Manolo Blahnik Group. They will be required to arrange the setup and maintenance of the company’s computer infrastructure and related areas. We are looking for commercially minded and a strong leader with a hands-on approach and people skills. They must have the ability to build key relationships and be comfortable working with non-technical users. The Head of Systems & IT will execute the strategy of modernisation and optimisation of software and technical infrastructure. They will be part of Senior Management Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the IT Manager and System Manager and provide direction to be cascaded to their direct reports
  • Overall responsibility for all the systems and technical infrastructure used within the Manolo Blahnik Group.
  • Oversee IT, security, support and network management with an external provider.
  • Ensure existing systems are being constantly optimised in line with company operations
  • Interpret business needs and recommend efficient system designs and take ownership for any upgrades and strategic enhancements.
  • Manage the relationships and contract life cycle of technology vendors
  • Full budget accountability
  • Lead projects with internal users and external consultants.
  • Deliver new systems or system upgrades within the budget and on time.
  • Oversee integrations or EDI between the company ERP, third parties and vendors.
  • Draft and publish user documentation.
  • Ensure all employees are appropriately trained on relevant platforms in order to be able to work securely and effectively.
  • Identify problematic areas and implement timely strategic solutions.
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure governance and compliance of the technology incl GDPR
  • Design systems architecture and solutions with compliance, cyber and information security at the heart, ensuring Data Protection and PCI-DSS are addressed as standard.
  • Oversee all communication systems including company phones and mobiles.
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
  • Continuously review and improve security controls, ensuring they are auditable and assess the risks.
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Consider ESG all times and how technology can be adapted or utilised to be more responsible.
