Description:

We are looking for a new Head of Talent and Learning to join our Australian HR Leadership team. Reporting directly to the Executive Director Human Resources Australia, you’ll work closely with the global Talent and Learning team to create strategies that foster growth, diversity, and inclusion. Our Global Talent and Learning team operate based on three pillars: Talent and Leadership, Growth and Careers and Diversity Inclusion and Belonging. You’ll partner with business leaders, have a close collaboration with the functional HR line and influence practices that help our people thrive as our business evolves.
As a Senior Leader, you’ll have the opportunity to partner closely with business leaders, drive end-to-end talent strategies and influence practices to help our people grow along with our changing business. In partnership with the global Talent & Leadership (T&L) team, you’ll articulate and update leadership requirements, which will be used in all talent management practices, such as the identification of emerging leaders in our talent reviews and targeted leadership succession readiness.

ABOUT US

At ING, we want to make life simpler and more worthwhile – for everyone who banks with us, for the people who work with us, and the community at large, too.
When you come to work at ING, you’re joining a team where individuality isn’t just accepted, it’s encouraged. We’ve built a culture that’s fun, friendly and supportive – it’s the kind of place where you can be yourself and make the most of whatever you have to offer.
We give people the freedom to think differently, take ownership of their work, and make great things happen. We’re here to help you get ahead. And with our global network, there’s plenty of scope to take your career in new directions, perhaps even ones you’ve never considered.
We are all about celebrating success and as a result we are proud to be a WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality and a certified Family Inclusive workplace.
Sound like the kind of place you’d feel at home? We’d love to hear from you.
(One last thing, ING operates a direct talent sourcing model. So no agency introductions, please.)

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business strategy into talent requirements and localise the global Integrated Talent Management strategy.
  • Design and implement learning and development programs that align with the organisation’s strategic goals and develop individual career paths.
  • Design and deliver leadership development programs and training including targeted development strategies for key talent segments.
  • Identify high-potential employees and implement succession planning strategies to ensure continuity in key roles.
  • Lead the development and execution of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on key talent metrics, learning outcomes, and diversity initiatives to senior leadership as well as preparation of Board papers.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure Talent strategy is embedded and reflected in the key initiatives and on-going projects.
