Saïd Business School is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional for the role of Head of Teaching and Learning Enhancement. This senior position is pivotal in leading the enhancement of teaching excellence across our undergraduate, masters and flagship E/MBA programmes. As the Head of Teaching and Learning Enhancement, you will be instrumental in shaping and delivering a vibrant programme of teaching development, supporting both in-person and virtual teaching. You will work closely with faculty, degree programme teams and senior leadership to promote best practices, facilitate teaching innovation and ensure an excellent learning experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner in developing strategic planning and leading the implementation of strategic priorities for Teaching and Learning Enhancement.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including Deputy Deans and Programme Directors, to identify and address priorities for teaching enhancement.
  • Act as a specialist advisor on curriculum and assessment structure for programme design and delivery.
  • Lead the development and delivery of faculty inductions, bespoke development plans, peer observation, mentor schemes and other teaching development activities.
  • Engage with the University’s Centre for Teaching and Learning and the wider collegiate university to enhance educational provision.

You will have significant experience in learning science and educational development within higher education. You must be adept at providing instructional coaching for faculty in both in-person and virtual classrooms, working collaboratively with colleagues across different roles, and employing a research-informed approach to educational development.
