Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities include:
- Support the overall technology strategy for COO Consumer, as well as driving transformation across Westpac’s Technology Simplification program.
- Manage the compliance of systems and processes within COO Consumer, including managing risks, issues, and incidents, ensuring controls are appropriately designed, tested, and implemented, and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery measures.
- Build an effective team, empowering them to achieve their goals and drive performance
- Ensure appropriate risk levels are maintained to support Westpac’s strategic and operational priorities and apply measures to manage and monitor risks in the accountable technology team.
- Implement technology frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure effective governance, reporting and control within Consumer Technology.
- Provide guidance on initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and delivery of Technology projects or programs to optimise outcomes for COO Consumer
To be successful in this role, you need to have the following skills:
- Track record of delivering on technology transformations with company-impacting scale and multi-year projects.
- Strong understanding of risk, governance and compliance frameworks within Technology and/ or Banking.
- Strong technical experience and a passion for getting involved in the details.
- Ability to drive technical excellence, pushing customer first innovation, quality and operational excellence.
- Strong organisation and communication skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
- Driving clarity from single line requirements and providing direction in an ambiguous environment
- A track record of strong execution and delivering results
