Your tasks

• Lead of the department “Virtual Development and Computational Mechanics PLT”
• Responsibility for the development of required tire performance prediction and optimization tools including FEM and their integration into the development processes PLT
• Support the method application in the tire development organizations by training and education
• Ensure efficiency and quality of the tire development by adaptation of the methods to the specific requirements
• Own the quality process of the simulation methods
• Measurement data integration into simulation and data based tools to ensure high absolute prediction quality
• Responsibility for all tread pattern prediction methods
• Ensure development of tire mechanical Know-how for PLT tire development relevant aspects in cooperation with involved expert fields
• Support and consultancy of tire and tread pattern development regarding virtual product and tire technology development with specific human resources
• Shared lead of the groups “Process Simulation”, “FEM Model Generation” and “Simulation Support and Operations”

Your profile

• Academic degree in engineering, mechanical engineering or physics, mathematics
• Experience in leading people and complex projects
• Deep knowledge and experience in tire development and rubber technology
• Deep knowledge and experience in development and application of numeric simulation methods, focus on FEM
• Statistical and test data analysis expertise
• Good English language skills (written and spoken)
• Ambitious, innovation-driven, result and team oriented
• Willingness to act and to take over strategic responsibility
