JOB DESCRIPTION
An excellent opportunity has arisen in this high profile site for an experienced manager with a proven track record of achieving success in previous roles. The Guinness Storehouse has a variety of unique restaurants, bars and the capacity to hold events for up to 2000 people. Reporting directly to the Key Accounts Manager and working actively with the senior management team, this position will have responsibility for leading a large team in the delivery of unique world customer service to all our daily visitors, while supporting the events side of the business and the external Seasons business.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess:
- An approved catering qualification at diploma/degree level and /or 5 years industry experience, 3 of which were at management or department head level with a strong background in a high volume hospitality, conference and banqueting operation.
- Demonstrates excellent people management skills with experience of managing large teams of staff.
- Detailed oriented with focus on service standards.
- A passion for food and service and the ability to innovate in this area.
- A high degree of knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP
- The ability to manage in a diverse and pressurised environment with a focus on client and customer services.
- Flexible and ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
- Strong organisational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility.
- Commercially focused, experience with budgets and a proven ability to achieve stretching commercial targets.
- Actively seeks change, a self-motivator and is ready to challenge in the interest of continuous improvement

This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished and experienced manager looking for a new and challenging role.
Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- Building and maintaining excellent client relationships, by understanding their changing requirements and responding proactively to meet client’s daily needs.
- Active and engaged management of operational performance of the team to deliver the highest standards of customer service to our customers and client.
- This role will require the individual to work on projects of development within the business to achieve our goals.
- Leading, motivating and training/developing a team to consistently develop and improve while also bringing new ideas to the business and achieving tangible cost effective results.
- Ensure smooth service of the food and beverage outlets within the visitor catering and business centre, ensuring the highest service standards are in place and are consistent while ensuring a world class service is provided.
- Ensuring the highest standards in health and safety, food safety and hygiene are adhered to at all times, implementing HACCP procedures and Health and Safety regulations ensure all relevant documentation and risk assessments are executed.
- Maintaining and developing excellent working relationships with all key stakeholders in Seasons business.
- Focused on providing a consistently high standard of customer service, maintaining mystery shopper KPI’s
- Leadership of the supervisors, catering team, to liase with the Executive head chef, Guinness Team leaders and the Seasons management team.
- Carry out all relevant HR administration duties for your team management, absence /dignity at work/ grievance /disciplinary procedures, welfare and any other people related meetings that may arise.
- Manage daily operation.
- Cash Handling procedures strictly adhered to and management of systems within the business
- Attend departmental meetings and present updates.
- Follow and ensure implementation of all Aramark policies and procedures across the business
- Equipment stock control, ordering and monthly itinerary stocktakes.
- Be aware at all times of changing trends in the marketplace, continually innovating and driving the business.
- Achieve and maintain daily revenue analysis and expenditure analysis.
- Drive and increase visitor participation rates.
- Review roster for your department and ensure all relevant parties are advised of their forthcoming roster
- Manage and work within labour percentages
- Ensure there is a training and development plan for all employees in your department
- Ensure all customers complaints are followed up on and closed out
