At Tobii Dynavox (TD) we are growing in a fast phase, growth means there is a balance with building a sustainable business and constantly improving in combination with adding new skills to the company to speed things up.
As we are growing as a company so are our facilities, from warehouse, shipping and production space to collaboration and office space. Our current Global Office and Facility Management team, with a sprinkle of company event planners, needs a leader that can help them go from good to great. The Head of Workplace Service is another example of the fact that we strive to improve the quality in our ambition to create workplaces where people want to spend time and that reflects us as a company, and our brand.

As the responsible for our Workplace function, your contributions will ensure our Workplaces works like a well-oiled machinery, meaning:

  • We have an appointed person responsible for each TD workplace and an aligned approach to our workplaces.
  • We have routines, guides, and toolboxes in place to support everything from daily operations in the facilities like safety and security to build outs.
  • We have the right service providers to support us in each location.
  • We plan for activities and events for our employees in a globally aligned way, so everyone feels included, from celebrations to health activities.

Your week will include the following range of tasks:

  • Lead our Workplace services team, which will be direct reports in our bigger hubs as well as a virtual team with people with multiple responsibilities.
  • Be responsible for our workplaces, ensuring that they are fit for purpose including the physical work environment like safety and security.
  • Be responsible for contributing to making our workplaces more sustainable from an environmental standpoint and accessible for our employees, customers, and visitors.
  • Be responsible for any new facility planning and build out, as well as maintenance and renovations of current ones.
  • Make sure we have the right services and collaborate with the right suppliers and external partners when needed.
  • Set long term plans and strategies and forecast and plan for budgets.
  • Be responsible for company events and activities, global alignment as well as setting up guidelines and support for teams to have meaningful activities.

We are looking for someone that can take a global approach and strategy and make sure we operate in a similar way from planning new spaces and running those projects to have sufficient service levels operationally in all spaces, no matter how the different facilities are run today.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.) systems.
  • Basic knowledge on facilities from a technical standpoint (ventilation, electricity, fire safety, temperature, accessibility etc.) to be able to have a dialogue with landlords and experts when making decisions.
  • Prior project management experience leading build out, expansion and renovation projects.
  • Experience in leading and growing people.

When it comes to the attributes you’ll bring to the table, you will need strong collaboration skills as People & Sustainability team interacts professionally with varying levels and teams across the organization from Marketing & Communications for brand and visuals to IT setting up conference rooms and Finance forecasting budgets.
