The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that the school continues to provide outstanding pastoral provision for all our students.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive and inclusive school environment where every student feels supported and valued.
- Serve as a mentor and advocate for students, providing guidance and support in academic and personal development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external stakeholders to address student needs and promote a holistic approach to education.
- Oversee the pastoral care programme, implementing strategies to promote student well-being and mental health.
- Monitor student progress and behaviour, implementing interventions and support systems as needed.
The candidate should be an outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire and lead a year group. They will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team in ensuring student targets are met and in creating a vision of success for the allocated year group.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a leadership or pastoral care role within a school setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Passion for working with young people and dedication to their academic and personal growth.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
