Description:

ABOUT THE POSITION

Manage the effective operation of Vena Energy Australia’s operating assets in line with Asset Management Plans, within approved budgets and in compliance with applicable regulations and key safety guidelines.
The role also includes oversight of the performance of O&M contractors & key equipment suppliers, quality assurance, and HSE while monitoring asset performance.

EDUCATION

A relevant tertiary degree or equivalent financial/technical qualification

EXPERIENCE

At least 15 years in Energy Industry in operation of power generation assets with last 10 years in management positions

SKILLS

Understanding Project risks & potential exposure for Vena Energy’s various asset types (Solar, Battery & other) in operation
Ability to provide technical leadership, coupled with people and project management skills
Strong leadership capabilities in realizing the potential of people and aligning their skill with job specific function
Good knowledge of different business functions
Ability to maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Critical thinking and problem solving
Ability to interface & manage other project stakeholders & government agencie

Responsibilities:

Oversee day to day operation of the operating assets to ensure operational KPIs, performance guarantees under respective PPAs, EPC and O&M agreements are met
Lead and manage Asset Management, O&M and HSE teams.
Manage recruitment, development and retention of personnel to keep up with business requirements
Maintain good level of communication with key project stakeholders including but not limited to PPA offtakers, government agencies, local councils, communities and lenders
Management of accurate and timely stakeholder reporting including internal stakeholder, lenders & external government agencies
Owning business plans, budgets, capital projects and other initiatives on existing assets
Ensuring compliance across the portfolio with project contracts, HSE , regulation and policy
Oversee HSE across the Vena Australia business
Collaborate with project development and engineering teams to provide lessons learnt from operation to improve technical specifications, technical schedules in EPC & O&M contracts
Coordinate the delivery and review of business continuity plans and business impact analysis for VEA’s corporate office, construction and operational sites.
