Description:
Fantastic opportunity for a new ECT who is looking to grow and develop into a leadership role within early childhood education.
Our client is an award winning childcare provider, with centres throughout Auckland, and are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for Tamariki to grow, learn and thrive.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for not only providing high quality care and education to young children, but also for leading and mentoring a team of educators in our toddler room.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementation of New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum and creating learning programmes for children
- Provide high quality care and education to infants and toddlers, focusing on their developmental needs and routines
- Mentoring educators and supporting staff with curriculum development and compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards.
- Leading team meetings and professional development activities to enhance quality of practices
Qualifications and Skills
- Early Childhood Education/Primary Teaching Diploma or Degree or equivalent qualification (required)
- Current NZ teacher registration
- Proven leadership experience in a childcare setting (ideally with under 2’s)
- Strong understanding of Te Whāriki
- Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
