As a Head Waiter at our members club, you will be required to provide our members with an attentive, exceptional and personalised service and look after their needs, and also you will be assisting the Restaurant Manager and Floor Managers in the organisation and supervision of service in the restaurant and bar areas. You should be passionate about food and beverage service and help in assisting the smooth running of service.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating an exceptional dining experience for members and their guests.
  • Being fully conversant with every dish served in our members club and providing explanations as requested.
  • Assisting with mise en place through distribution of tasks and to ensure the monitoring and completion of tasks are done properly and in time allocated.
  • Taking responsibility for service in the area of the restaurant under your responsibility during your shift.
  • Assisting the management team and their assistants in the preparation and presentation of training programmes, briefings and SOP’s.
  • Being competent in advising guests with food allergies or dietaries by liaising with the kitchen and bar teams and ensuring the order is processed correctly, ensuring this is communicated to all relevant staff and departments and member profile is updated with the relevant information.
  • Supporting, training, and developing any new colleagues and making them feel welcome.
  • Up-selling additional products as and when appropriate in a subtle and conversational manner.
  • Taking accurate food and drinks orders, using our till system, ordering slips or by memorisation as appropriate.
  • Checking dishes and dining utensils for cleanliness and presentation and reporting any problems to the culinary and management teams.
  • Presenting the bill and processing payments in line with our standards and SOP’s.
  • Arranging table settings and maintaining a tidy dining area.
