Responsibilities:
The Health and Safety Advisor role is a newly created opportunity in our Health, Safety & Environment based at our Collie site. This role is being offered as a 24-month contract.
Provide senior level site-based Health and Safety support to project teams which are responsible for the delivery of Synergy’s Collie Battery Energy Storage System (CBESS).
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Monitor and evaluate compliance of Synergy’s project sites to the appropriate HSE standards, systems, and processes and legislation. This includes works being undertaken by both Synergy and its contractors.
- Review on a regular basis the adequacy and effectiveness of emergency response procedures for sites.
- Conduct contractor pre-qualification assessments and review of safety plans.
- Lead and support the facilitation of incident investigations including Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) investigations.
- Provide specialist advice on all legal aspects of H&S management to ensure compliance with legislation, codes of practice and guidance notes.
