We are recruiting for two full time Health and Safety Co-ordinators on a 12 month fixed term basis. This role will be mainly working from home with travel 1-2 days per week (potentially including an overnight stay). We cover locations across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
In this role you will:
- Undertake health and safety related activities with a focus on reducing incidents through a proactive practice approach
- Under the direction of the Health and Safety advisor and Head of Health and Safety, they will promote good health and safety practice across the organisation.
- Undertake policy and procedural audits to support our services to achieve Health and Safety compliance.
- Identify areas for improvement and with guidance from qualified Health and Safety professionals, identify and monitor actions to drive improvement.
- Produce reports to support management of Health and Safety Compliance.
- Proactively support any events requiring an immediate response such as fact finds, investigations or internal case reviews.
- Collaborate and work with Quality Co-Ordinators and local Service Managers
We are looking for someone who:
- has experience of working in a role that has a focus on Health and Safety, ideally within Health and Social Care or Property
- is a great communicator and enjoys working with all stakeholders
- has evidence of current Health and Safety training – IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are desirable but not essential
- is credible, trustworthy and wanting to join an organisation in a role where they can grow and develop
