REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
- Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the food production industry
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Passion for safety and commitment to promoting a positive safety culture
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify causes and prevent future occurrences
- Provide training and instruction on safety protocols and procedures to employees
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement risk management strategies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety
- Stay updated with relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practices
