REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
  • Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the food production industry
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Passion for safety and commitment to promoting a positive safety culture

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify causes and prevent future occurrences
  • Provide training and instruction on safety protocols and procedures to employees
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement risk management strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety
  • Stay updated with relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practices
