Responsibilities:

THIS ROLE HAS A STARTING SALARY OF £50,047 PER ANNUM, BASED ON A 36-HOUR WORKING WEEK AND WILL INITIALLY BE RECRUITED AS AN 18-MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT / SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY.

We are excited to be recruiting a Health and Well-Being Strategy Manager to contribute to our team’s mission to reduce health inequalities so no-one is left behind. This will be through effective policy development, oversight of programmes that currently sit under the auspices of Surrey Health and Well-Being (HWB) Strategy and the HWB Board.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Located within the Public Health Team and the Adults, Wellbeing and Health Partnerships directorate, you will provide policy and programme management expertise and an enabling approach to senior responsible officers, managing key projects and programmes particularly around the outcomes within Priority One of the HWB Strategy.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of the HWB Board, and as such demonstrate experience of stakeholder management with system leaders, senior executive and elected members and the administration of the HWB Board’s meetings (with the support of management and Democratic Services). You will work with other partnership boards/structures ensure alignment.
You will have proven political awareness along with negotiating, influencing and leadership skills and be willing to work on your own initiative whilst working flexibly with the team and on behalf of the Council and wider system.
