Description:
The Administrative Assistant performs program registrations/enrollments, tracking and reporting of program participants, handling incoming calls/emails and in general, providing a high level of customer service interfacing with the Commonpoint Queens member families and the general public.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 3 years equivalent experience.
- Must possess an understanding of computer systems, program set-up, spreadsheets, accounting procedures, and good business practices.
- This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of customers as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Experience in data management, customer service and & general office functions.
- Familiarity with summer camp setting is a PLUS.
- Must be flexible and adaptable. Weekly schedule may include one weekend day and some evening hours.
Responsibilities:
- Register participants for the Health & Wellness Department programs. This includes collecting documents and payments, parent follow-up, etc.
- Answer phones, check and return messages, check and respond to emails and assist walk-in customers in a timely manner (if and when you are in-person).
- Assist in handling billing, payment plans, refunds and collections.
- Monitor enrollment numbers
- Assist with camp fairs, open houses and other promotional events.
- Ordering supplies as needed.
- Supporting the department with social media services
