QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
- Qualified in pathology – blood collection (HLT37215 or HTL41812) or equivalent
- 1+ year experience in phlebotomy is desired
- Clear understanding of quality control standards for biological monitoring in the workplace
- Intermediate Microsoft office.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer focused skills
Responsibilities:
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Applications are now invited to join the Health and Safety Team as an Health & Biological Monitoring Officer.
A key role supporting the health team, this role ensures the onsite biological monitoring while processing and interpreting data to advise stakeholders on required actions.
The successful applicant will also be responsible for maintaining appropriate site compliance with corporative and legislative obligations to coordinate actions and transfer registers with SAP data.
This is a residential role, based in Port Pirie, South Australia. Relocation assistance will be provided to the successful candidate as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Conduct blood collection and coordinate the biological monitoring program
- Handle and allocate biological samples in preparation for laboratory testing
- Organise and maintain equipment and consumables used for biological monitoring
- Analyse data, record sample results in SAP and communicate
- Develop detailed health and biological reports to show trends, results and other data to help guide biological testing requirements
- Coordinate quality control programs to ensure results and data is accurate and all equipment is calibrated and maintained at an acceptable standard
