Radiology/Outpatients Healthcare Assistant
Right now we have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Radiology Team at Outpatients Department at The Cherwell Hospital, Banbury.
The Role:
In this role you will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment. You will be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care and services. You will be supported by one of the UK’s largest private health care groups who will ensure your continuous development and sponsor additional training.
You will be supporting the Radiology Department, assisting with day to day roles, supporting procedures, meeting and greeting patients, completing the necessary documentation and help maintain the smooth running of the department.
You will have excellent communication skills with exceptional standards for customer service standards. Adhering to all of Ramsay’s policies and procedures to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for patients. A strong advocate of the Ramsay Way and People Caring for People.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Organize Ultrasound workload including charging patients, chaperoning patients when required and dealing with all necessary paperwork.
  • To assist the radiographers in preparing patients for all imaging procedures as necessary.
  • To assist with setting up for procedures as required.
  • To assist in maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness of the department.
  • To help with the maintenance of stock levels in all rooms e.g. linen etc and consumables etc.
  • To assist the Radiographers and other staff in the department as required.
  • To rotate between Radiology and Outpatients Departments as required.
  • Respond appropriately to accidents or untoward incidents/occurrences that arise within the unit and provide accurate documentation.
  • To be compliant with all local policies and procedures and to act accordingly.
  • Ensure the safety of patients and staff and ensure that all incidents are reported to the Manager.
  • Ensure that all equipment is used safely and effectively.
