Description:

To assist in creating a clean and hygienic environment at all times, whilst providing a quality service to our users. To meet the needs of the Main Outpatient and Satellite unit and to meets the service needs at short notice. To meet the Trust’s, Main OPD/Sat unit cleaning plan by adhering to the cleaning frequencies and schedules, as set out by the National standards of cleanliness. Provide effective input into the work of the Trust, to support the achievement of our visions and values.
1) Communicates with colleagues in connection with own job role. Requires Customer Care awareness.
2) To liaise with Matron/Managers daily and act upon any specific tasks
required.
3) To work with any new starters, demonstrating tasks and methods of work.
4) Report any equipment faults or health and safety issues via the Line Manager as and when they arise.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a full range of hospital and community services for people across East Cheshire (population 399K) and West Cheshire and Chester (population 357K).

Organise own day-to-day work tasks in relation to cleaning and as determined by Line Manager.
Participate in Trust mandatory training and any departmental specific training.
Knowledge of specific cleaning procedures and standards, including cleaning materials, cleaning frequencies, cleaning tasks, cleaning equipment, COSHH and Health and Safety (as indicated within Trust’s Cleaning Protocols and Training / Induction Sessions).
To ensure that the operating of associated cleaning equipment (e.g. buffing machine, vacuum cleaner etc.) and the use of cleaning materials and other associated tasks which may be a hazard to oneself or others are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with Trust Cleaning Training Protocols, Health and Safety, Control of Infection and COSHH Risk Assessments
