Description:
Cwm Taf UHB are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Support Worker with a commitment to delivering high quality patient care.
Care of the elderly/Frailty nursing hugely rewarding and we are looking for kind, caring and empathetic individual to join our busy nursing team.
The ward includes elderly frail patients some with living with dementia You will need a passion for caring about people and to want to understand who people are, where they have come from and who they want to be in order to promote their recovery
Full time (37.5hours)

The successful post holder will be given the opportunity to develop their skills and experience within Cwm Taf UHB.
We are looking for candidates who are motivated, compassionate and can adapt quickly to change. You must possess good communication and interpersonal skills, whilst being able to work autonomously and well within a team. Commitment to patient care must be demonstrated. You will be an invaluable team member with assisting in maintaining the ward areas.
You will be expected to be able to assist the registered nurse.
providing assistance with personal care
recording and reporting of vital signs
assisting with admissions and discharges
Ensuring a high standard of infection control procedures, in accordance with our policies.
Maintaining ward stocks, keeping storerooms organised, keeping clinical areas and equipment clean and tidy, and any other duties as delegated by nursing staff.
Assisting patients in maintaining their personal hygiene. Helping our patients to shower/ bath, provide washing facilities access and the use of toilet facilities - promoting independence where possible.
Assisting with the safety of patients on the ward
Previous experience is desirable but not essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
