Description:

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Health Care Support Worker to join our amazing team in the Children’s Outpatients.
Are you motivated and enjoy the challenges of helping to look after children and young people? Do you want to be part of a proactive and dedicated paediatric team and develop your skills? If your answer is yes, then this could be the job for you. Shifts in Children’s Outpatients will start at either 08.30, 09.00, 09.30 and 10.00 and are 7.5 hour shifts.
The successful candidate will be supported to develop their skills and knowledge within the clinical setting and supported within the QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework). The Children’s Ward has a Practice Facilitator team that will provide support and provide teaching for you in Outpatients.
What tasks will you do?
As a Health Care Support Worker you will help patients feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible. You’ll work under the guidance of a healthcare professional such as a nurse and your job will vary depending where you are based, but overall a typical day as a Health Care Support Worker in this role will involve:
