Health Care Worker – Avoca Nursing Home
Permanent Part Time – 56 hours per fortnight

Maryborough District Health Service is seeking applications from Health Care Workers to join our Residential Aged Care department in Avoca on a permanent part time contract. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and be committed to providing high quality services, along with good communication skills and a commitment to positive working relationships. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate III or IV – Ageing Support (CHC43015) including the medication component or willingness to complete or Certificate III – Individual Support (CHC33015)
TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Demonstrate the ability to undertake appropriate care that meets the individual needs of the resident and relatives.
- Demonstrate an ability to develop and review Resident Care Plans.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, carers, staff and others.
- Well-developed written skills.
- Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
