REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working in a similar capacity with exposure to the mining or resources industry.
  • ICAM investigation skills.
  • Experience with facilitating risk assessment skills.
  • Hold a Qualification or equivalent experience in WHS or a related field.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Health & Safety Superintendent you will implement and enhance the Curragh Mine Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) while driving forward our Health, Safety & Training business plan. Your contributions will shape the future of safety initiatives and ensure alignment with our future goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibit strong safety leadership by actively promoting and engaging in safety behaviours, fostering a culture of safety excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements outlined in SHMS and relevant legislation, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of the health and safety management system, enhancing its effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Lead ICAM investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, implementing hazard controls to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Support site-wide implementation of HST initiatives, providing guidance to operational departments for successful integration.
