Responsibilities:
As a result of business growth and ongoing investment in the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing of our people, we are growing our capability and to do so are seeking a passionate safety professional. Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing this role will provide leadership and support in all aspects of WHS. This includes:
- Collaborate with front-line leaders to identify and execute improvement initiatives
- Coordinate and actively participate in risk assessments to identify, control and mitigate workplace and operational hazards
- Engage with frontline staff to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and safety standards
- Take the lead in investigations into incidents and near misses including identifying root causes, implementing action plans and thorough follow-up
- Serve as a subject matter expert in safety including incident reporting, investigation, annual audits and necessary actions to support our Front-Line Leaders
- Cultivate a positive safety culture by promoting awareness, safety engagement and accountability across all levels of the organisation
- Encourage the reporting of safety concerns and suggestions for improvement, fostering an environment of continuous enhancement
- Utilise data to identify trends, measure safety performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with our senior leaders
- Prepare and deliver monthly reports for Executives, highlighting key safety metrics and areas for improvement.
