Description:
Ayrton Group have an immediate requirement for a Health & Safety Consultant working on a pharmaceutical project with a large engineering group in the Dublin region.
This is a 6 month contract role with the potential for extension.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years’ work experience in Health and Safety required.
- Minimum of a Level 7 qualification in Health and Safety.
- Working at Heights and Manual Handling certification required.
- Experience in Electrical works is required.
- Confidence to lead and manage a team.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Management of Safety Management System on-site.
- Management of all Health and Safety employees.
- Overseeing all subcontractors on-site.
- Conducting regular site audits/inspections to ensure Health and Safety compliance to Company and Client procedures/rules.
- Coordination of weekly Health and Safety meetings.
- Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).
- Reviewing existing policies and measures and updating according to legislation.
- Managing the initiation and organization of Health and Safety training of employees and executives as needed.
- Inspecting premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
- Managing, developing, and maintaining incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes, and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.
- Preparing reports on occurrences and providing statistical information to upper management.
- Weekly/monthly reporting to client and site management.
