ABOUT THE COMPANY

This company have been operating for over thirty years nationally and specialize in apartments and commercial new build projects up to $50 mil. The majority of their work is for repeat clients and they have established themselves as one of Australia’s leading builders in the new build sector. Due to recent growth, they are looking for a HSE Manager to join the company and take ownership of Health, Safety and Environment at the company.

Responsibilities:

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the HSE manager you will be responsible for the way the sites manage their safety. The role centres around internal auditing, educating site teams on best safety practices, preparing safety plans for high risk activity, ensuring company procedures and policies are followed and providing assistance with anything that will improve the HSE at the company.

To be considered for the role, you will have:

  • Experience as a HSE Manager/Advisor/Coordinator at ideally a commercial or new build construction company.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and requirements on building sites.
  • Strong communication skills and have the ability to build strong relationships with Site Manager’s and Sub-Contractors
  • Ideally have used a HSE software system like hammertech
